Newborn Erik

The smell, feel, and look of a newborn is enough to make your heart feel full and bright. This time was no different, I simply melted. Erik was such a sweet chunk who had amazing eyes and such a sweet smile. He decided that when he arrived, he was not going to sleep. We rocked this sweet guy, played music, fed him, and still he fought :). But eventually he tired out and we got to work. I had to work slowly and gently as he woke easily, and definitely didn't like me moving his arms about. When we finished with his photos we got some great family ones, and man you can just see the love in the parents eyes. Dad was next to him almost the entire shoot, and it wasn't Dad, Grandma or mom was right there. They really were such a sweet family. I'm so glad i got the honor of taking their photos.
